A Journey of Hope and Perseverance: Our IVF Success Story

After 14 years of marriage, our dream of becoming parents finally came true. I am a 40-year-old woman, and like many others who face fertility challenges, my husband and I had been on a long, emotional journey. From countless tests to multiple treatments, the road wasn’t easy. One thing we were certain of was that we wanted to try IVF using my own eggs, even though the odds were against us. We were determined not to give up.

We were fortunate to have been in the care of Dr. Sachin Kulkarni, Dr. Uma Gaikwad, and Dr. Kiran Joshi. They were more than just doctors; they were our guides, our support system, and our constant source of strength throughout the process. They believed in our dream as much as we did. What made them truly special was their transparency. Every step of the way, they explained the risks, the options, and the realistic outcomes, always giving us the information we needed to make decisions with confidence.

When we began the IVF cycle, I was prescribed a combination of Gonal F and Novo HMG for stimulation. I was anxious but hopeful. When the time came, we retrieved four eggs, which didn’t seem like many, but we held onto hope. From those four eggs, two beautiful blastocysts formed. It was a huge milestone for us, and we were filled with cautious optimism.

The day we found out I was pregnant was surreal—something we had waited 14 long years for. Now, I am 5 months pregnant, and the most recent amniocentesis report has come back normal. We are overwhelmed with joy and gratitude. The journey was difficult, but every hurdle was worth it for this moment.

To say that we are the happiest couple in the world is an understatement. We are forever grateful to Dr. Kulkarni, Dr. Gaikwad, and Dr. Joshi. They not only gave us the gift of life but also supported us emotionally and mentally. Without their guidance, expertise, and honesty, this wouldn’t have been possible.
