Does ivf in young women create more genetically abnormal embryos

Recently, in a study published in the Journal of Assisted Conception, women with normal conception which led to a miscarriage were compared to women who had a miscarriage following IVF. And genetic studies were done on the miscarriage. The conclusion was that IVF does not increase the risk of miscarriages because of genetic factors and this is especially so under the age of thirty-five. The rate of genetic abnormalities in nature and following IVF, the miscarriages were, approximately, the same.

It is equally important that doing a genetic test in a normal miscarriage is important and reinforces the importance of developing an appropriate diagnosis and plan strategies for further treatments.
